The installation was pretty easy and the system works good. The only semi negatives is the instructions were a little vague, the wireless interface was the worse because there were no instructions on how to use it. There are USB plugs on both sides of the unit. I figured it out by plug in both side until it worked, it would be nice if they said this in the instructions. the only other issue is that while using car play I can't control where the air is coming out while heating or cooling. But. om the whole I would definitely would recommend buying here a great price and really fast shipping.

I recently ordered Ford/Lincoln Sync2 to Sync3 Upgrade Wireless CarPlay Android Auto Navigation. The unit came earlier that expected. Installation was easy and very straightforward. love the Upgrade. The product has exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and performance. I was particularly impressed with the customer care team, who were incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. The install and upgrade went smoothly. The touch screen is very nice and responds so much better than the original one. It controls the heated seats and other features as it should. I also purchased the wireless Android auto accessory. That part could really use some work. I have an Android phone and no matter how I connect it, it mostly senses that it's an iPhone, which then causes the screen to glitch and I have to turn the power off and on to reset it. But working with the phone plugged in by USB, it works great. The trim kit that came with the USB and C Style plugs is a bit loose. If you pull too hard without bracing the plugs, it will pull the plugs out with the cord. That said, it's worth the minor hassle since it gets away from using the Lincoln MKS factory GPS which has maps that has to be updated on an SD card. Would recommend this upgrade. It saved us so much time and money. We kept replacing parts in the original factory system at the dealership, and then something else in the system would break. This upgrade seems to have cured all the problems. Hoping it lasts as long as the car.
Kit has everything you need for the upgrade. I watched a YouTube tutorial which showed how to get the dash apart and swap the units out. Once installed, I cranked the car up, connected the car to my WiFi and updated the software from the settings menu in the unit, and that was all it took.
I upgraded the stock usb/sd card port with the usb3.0/usb port, which they didn’t show in the tutorial video. You remove the cd player and the control module box under it (I did not disconnect anything from the control module box; just moved it aside.) then you can access the back of the usb ports. Unplug the cables and simply push the old usb box out from behind and push the new unit into the opening. The cables are short and may have a different, so be sure to use the provided extension/adapter cable that comes in the kit to make your life easier. Super easy.
